more attorneys involved with our suit decreases the chance of an early settlement. My thought is based on the fact that I have found the more parties/attorneys that are party to any deal I have been involved in the greater number of roadblocks and legal challenges are presented. Cynically I have assumed that this was to increase the fees that the attorneys collected.

Rationally and with a bit more compassion I think it is that the attorneys are attempting to do their job in protecting the interest of their clients.
