They can do with them as they please. They can even just sell them back into the open market. If they do so AFTER an announcement (the logical time), it is NOT insider trading, as the info prompting the PPS rise is already known to the marketplace. Though, of course, if they dumped tens of millions of shares onto the open market, the PPS would drop like a rock unless there is equivalent buying pressure. So they are basically in the same boat as you or I, as retail investors. They've been accumulating just as most of us, and they will reap the same rewards. But their reward has a compounding effect. PPS goes up, they own a ton of shares, the value of the investment/company increases accordingly.
If anyone sees anything wrong with my reasoning here or in my first post to ptsc4u, please advise.
