Not consistent recording of earnings??

when they recorded earnigns from HP... they took all future payments & recorded them.. in one 1/4..... (even though 125,00 was for support fee which was not performed later...) now this 1/4 they put 8 mill in recieveables but not recorded in earnings......

anyone shed light.....
