Ease,
A lot more than I initially imagined for a toy. It's a kit from Rotorway (Exec162F) that the FAA designates "experimental class." Builders can apply for the FAA "repairman's certificate" which lowers costs somewhat. Otherwise a general aviation ship like Robinson's R22 is more reliable but more expensive because of a certified mechanics hourly rates and the higher costs of parts etc. Stay with a fixed wing if Patriot disappoints. Plenty of used Rotorways are available cheap that you can rebuild and register as a builder for lower costs. By comparison an 07' Vette is the lower priced fling.
