The truth is: to enjoy heli's vice fixed wing you are by definition a pesimist. As with most ventures the best laws observed are Gravity and Murphy. I drive the Vette with white knuckles, scared to death of cell phones, rice rockets, pot holes and stupid driving. When upstairs it's generally relaxing except for birds. Recalling the WW2 avaition advisiory: "Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity, or neglect."
Patriot is the norm for the risk tolerent and SP autorotations are to be anticipated.
