Alliacense Names Joseph R. Minville Vice President, Licensing

CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alliacense today announced that Joseph R. Minville has joined the company as Vice President, Licensing, reporting to Mike Davis, Senior Vice President, Licensing. Responsible for technology licensing for certain patent portfolios owned by The TPL Group, Minville comes to Alliacense from Flextronics International where he served in key business development positions for the past seven years.

Joes business development and technology background will be put to good use as we continue to build momentum in licensing the Moore Microprocessor Patent (MMP) Portfolio, said Davis. His extensive experience working with the automotive industry has direct application in our efforts.

MMP Portfolio patents encompass fundamental design techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost digital electronic systems ranging from cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure and medical equipment as well as automobiles, which today utilize dozens of microprocessors.

During his time at Flextronics, Minville focused on the global automotive industry segment, establishing a new business unit that nearly tripled sales over a three year period. He also created and led a team that developed and manufactured consumer and automotive-grade satellite digital audio receivers. Prior to this, he served for five years with Solectron, first as a Technical Program Manager providing on-site support to customers in the northeastern US, and later as Account Manager for key customers in this location. While at Solectron he assisted in the start-up of a new manufacturing operation in Massachusetts. Earlier in his career, he served as Technical Account Manager for the Semiconductor Division of Digital Equipment Corporation and held positions at Dennison Manufacturing Company and Acumeter Laboratories. Minville holds both an MBA and BA degrees (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
