I am giddy today. We sold a book to the Book of the Month Club, my kid got drafted onto the Yankees (not THOSE Yankees), and my wife is leaving for three days so I can really have some peace and quiet and get a lot of work done.
I am an attorney, have sat on a couple boards, have managed small companies (and sold one to a larger company). So, I know a little bit about announcements, negotiations, etc. I do not see how, with the Markman hearing and stressful litigation pending in Texas, that TPL/PTSC can offer another dividend--and sweeten it by adding that they are planning to pay one every six months. Unless . . . the Texas litigation is over except for the formalites.
I am a betting man, and I have a buck to place down on the table. Yes, it might be foolish to say this, and I might look stupid a few weeks from now, but I think that is the signal Pohl, et. al. is sending us.
