But you get my point re: any applicable "formula" in use now - they negotiate for as much as they can negotiate.

I can see the possibility IF we had to go through the entire litigation process with the JX/Arm and prevailed, that based on info likely provided via the process (e.g., number of infringing chips/devices) when compared with the amount of award, a "magic number" could be determined for use in future negotiations. But it'll still be a negotiation, however...IMO.
