Couldn't agree more...they were outcoached and out hustled, Florida ran them ragged and pressured the outside guys all night, letting Oden get his dunks when he could, thus not letting the "shooters" on OSU get into any rhythm.
Good plan by Donovan to let Oden get his points while still playing 2-3 different guys on him all night, one guy in the paint can't beat 5 guys playing as a team....Frustration for the OSU guys had to be weighing on them all night and Florida made them run. Oden played a lot of minutes but a lot of those minutes he was draggin himself back to defend. if he plays out on the edge then Florida goes underneath with Noah and Horford. IMO I'd have played the arc more and given up more points in the paint for less 3's made.
as the paper says:
"Oden controlled the paint, but Florida controlled every where else.Florida connected on 10 of 18 three-pointers while limiting Ohio State to 4-for-23 from long distance.
Lee Humphrey (14 points), Brewer (13 points) and Taurean Green (16 points) hit consecutive three-pointers — part of a 6-for-9 showing for the Gators from long distance in the first half—to open up a 33-22 lead with 3 minutes 41 seconds left before intermission.
That left the young Buckeyes, especially Oden and Mike Conley Jr., confronted with an early quandary: How could they play fairly adequately, keep Oden on the floor for 18 minutes free of foul trouble and still trail by 11 at halftime?"
OSU fans probably don't want to see anothe SEC team in any sport for awhile,, haven't beaten a SEC football team yet and now 0 for 2 in championship games in footbal and basketball.
OSU was a good "team" but didn't play like one, the better coached "TEAM" won this one.
