i was around back then and one thing to note was that we had a staff of engineers and there was always the cloud of bringing the "product to market". we were also seen as the ideal java processor and were porting systems over to the chip, reducing its size without damaging benchmarks. we looked like a company on the verge of explosive growth if some only some company had taken the chance and purchasing more than just the "evaluation" kits. the float was definetly much smaller. but we appeared to be a real technology company at that time.
