First,
Thank you David Pohl for steering our ship in the right direction. As others have mentioned, your behind the scenes work may never be fully known. I appreciate your years of service and congratulate you on your retirement. Godspeed and many years of health and happiness ahead.
In terms of Jim Turley as the possible CEO, I have my doubts as to his overall effectiveness. This does not stem from his technical knowledge, but to his abilities to carry us forward. No offense meant, but what has he done since being appointed to the BOD in February 2006 and to the advisory board in the prior year? Unless he has aided litigation with his technical expertise, there is really nothing else that at least is publicly known. Why has he not resurrected our Ignite/Inflame product offerings as part of Pohl's umbrella?
Another thing that concerns me with Jim Turley is his own ambitions. Is there a possible conflict of interest with his clients? Certainly they must be among the 400+ possible infringers of the MMP. This quote from his bio speaks volumes to me:
"Jim Turley is an independent semiconductor industry analyst, editor, and presenter."
His authoring of seven books no doubt builds his technical credence, but I have a problem with his self promoting activities. He still conducts speaking engagements routinely and creates and presents at numerous seminars throughout the year. This may be a moot post as Jim may not want to end his independent career to take our lead here at PTSC.
I respect and appreciate Jim's expertise, but as our CEO I have real concerns that he will put 100% into our shared vision for a stronger more profitable company.
Thanks again David Pohl and enjoy your retirement.
Go PTSC Onwards and Upwards!
Cheers~
