Interesting post. I wish you would comment in more detail about the Judge's body language and demeanor in posing questions to the parties. That would be telling indeed. As to the remainder of your post it reflect some gaps in your recollection of all that was posted here about the Shareholder Meeting...For example you seem perplexed by the numbers of those signed in stating:

This is consistent with what was said by PTSC CEO and Mac Lackrone in the SHM...

485 Protfolios prepared by the Lackrone group were served upon potential infringers advising them that they were infinging on patents held by TPL...

380 + reponses were received back...

222 wanted more information...

81 were in various stages of negotiation...

22 were in the "resolved" catagory; 16 of which were "signed", plus INTEL and AMD who were in a catagory by themselves and not listed in the "signed" group, that makes 18; and 4 were waiting to decide the size of the check to write, like Nokia which makes 22...

Your report of what you heard from RC and defense counsel tells us that we should expect another PR announcing one more "signed" case soon, and 2 more after that if Markman Hearing had given any reason to defense to settle rather than seeing the price go up with triple damages if the case to trial...
