A request to the USPTO office made by both the defendents and PUBPAT to review the patents for validity was accepted.  You can see PUBPAT's attention-mongering announcement on their website, www.pubpat.org.

It will be an ex parte examination (neither the defendents nor PUBPAT will be allowed to take part -- only PTSC/TPL and patent examiners).  It will apparently be a long while before the review takes place due to the backlog at the USPTO.
