Message: SEmi-OT: re lawyers' ethical conflicts in owning stocks....

You answered none of my questions. IMO, we already have a a very reliable revenue stream via the interest being earned on our money in the bank. And that alone can provide a respectable rate of return (e.g., at a simple/easy 5% of $20M = $1M/yr with virtually zero risk).

Also, I disagree with your premise "MONEY is not power ... Money is leverage" in that I believe Leverage is Power and Power is the ability to Leverage.

But don't get me wrong. The more revenue streams the better, as long as they involve minimal risk. But such endeavors typically involve some degree of risk, and can take years to turn a profit. This is why I really like the Holocom deal. Minimal dollars (ergo, minimal risk) and the thing is up and running, and supposedly is on the verge of profitability, with good prospects for the future. Give me more of those kinds of deals!

What I'm getting at is that IMO there is no reason to rush into these things. Look, do DD, do more DD, then commit with the least exposure possible. And set them up like they did Holocom with an LLC in between to avoid any potential liabilities. Let the lawyers do their thing - CYA and make money.

No reason to get too excited just yet. IF we prevail in TX, there will likely be hundreds of millions to play with, IMO.

Good ongoing friendly debate....
