Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal - 1:43 PM PDT Thursday, May 17, 2007
Informatica Corp. said Thursday it was awarded a permanent injunction preventing Business Objects SA from shipping a product that infringes on an Informatica patent.
Redwood City-based Informatica (NASDAQ:INFA) originally filed a patent-infringement suit in July 2002 against Business Objects (NASDAQ:BOBJ), which has dual headquarters in San Jose and Paris.
Informatica said it received a jury verdict that its patents are valid and that Business Objects infringed them.
The company also said it received undisclosed damages.
