Hello everyone. I have been investing in ptsc for a few months. It started out small, and am now 95% invested. I am hoping to pick up another 15K shares within the next trading day or two making this 100% of my portfolio. Probably, most likely, not the smartest thing.... unless we have a favorable ruling. For me it could be a life changing experience. I am well aware of the tremendous number of shares the company has out, and power of warrent conversions from Swartz.
Here are some of the reasons I am so heavily invested in ptsc: I started buying in the high .60's and bought down. Now that it is so cheap I have continued to buy more, selling everything else. (Know that even if this goes totally belly up, I have a decent salary and other 403 retirement investments) I am enjoing the thrill of investing on my own through an online account. If this doesn't work out, I am down for awile (sadly).
What I like: TPL sounds like a quality operation. They have experience and seem to excel in this type of law.
If judge Ward rules in our favor, his strong background in patent law would truly validate ptsc's patents (or vice versa).
I have always looked at this stock the way a few posters have put it... better than the casinos.... if you lose.. you lose most of it.... if it wins..... the reward can be who knows a 10, 20,100 bagger?
I like the fact that the seller did not fill my order at .437 yesterday. I am hoping we have bottomed, but don't really care. It doesn't matter how low it goes, as long as it takes off! I am too invested and already lost more than I wanted too, so I will hold on believing in the long term potential of the stock.
Mind you, my background is in education, I do not know enough about the technicalities of our patents. However, as long as the patents are valid, even if they do not apply to all of the companies (infringements) of the current litigation, they have the potential to apply to so many diverse technology sectors. Plus it sounds like there are a few areas that have potential including Ignite and Holocom.
There are many theories about what is happening: accumulation and shorting, I would like to believe that groups, Swartz, are covering themselves in the event that the outcome is in favor of the other side. I like to believe that some greedy party is shaking all of the weak hands in order to maximize their profits when things go well.
This board has given me the confidence to stay the course. I appreciate all of the information whether it is pro or con. As a new investor, I know that a good stock needs both bulls and bears for it to be worth holding.
If I did not have the feedback from this board, and just watched my stock tank on nothing but positive news, I would have sold. This board has been a great way to get information about the company itself, different perspectives about what is going on. I don't feel as in the dark.
Ron, I specifically look for your posts. They are insightful and I feel genuine. I think most posters have the long, faithful stockholders in mind, but I think you'd be a fool not to think that everyone doesn't have their own best interest at heart. I know when the day comes to sell, I will not announce it first.
I am mostly a reader of posts and will probably not respond. It is hard enough to find the time to read. Thank you to all of you. I hope we all become rich on the long side:)
