Not sure I follow this rationale? How does drafting a letter showing solidarity the same as a card player showing his hand? If I am playing cards, I don’t show my cards as I am making bets based on what I want my opponent(s) to think I have. I can make a big bet to bluff, and make my opponent(s) think I have a stronger hand than I actually do, or maybe I slow play my hand because it is unbeatable and I want my opponent(s) to think I am weak and stay in the hand and bet into me. Regarding Patriot, in my mind, and maybe I am wrong, but the only way to show our hand would be to say we are going to sell our shares at a price “X”, if “Y” demands are not met. There was never any threat of selling shares at “X” price in the letter, rather, my interpretation of the letter is that it was simply a message to management that we have a coalition of shareholders that equals or exceeds the ownership of S&L, and we want answers to questions we deem important.
