It is slow while we wait for the next shoe to drop. And so we are talking OT issues. Here goes my 2 cents based on first hand experience...

The disclaimer at end of your post...

(b)"By the way, before someone can make the statement I dislike all people that are Spanish, I will fill you in on something. My children's grandmother was from Cuba. They spoke Spanish in their home and English in public."(b) states the obvious, for we are all immigrants from somewhere else. And America has always helped the those immigrants and their chirdren to do better than whhere they came from.

The question to be answered is should we deny the sapanish speaking residents, who do all the meanial work in this counrry, working so hard to get a chance to become American citizens the same chance as your, our, mine, grand parents were given...

I think EDIGOKIE'S post has been misiterpreted by most. He is the type of a guy who, if he was leading Charlie Company into Cuba, would stop and pick up a wounded child and give him a Milkyway bar while taking him to safety.

I was in Las Vegas for a few days. I tell you, if the Mesicanx, (as they are called in the South Texas), went on strike that town will shut down. The same will happen to Agriculture in California and most of the Western States...

The issue is having a system in place which will continue to provide our economy with the cheap Labor and in the same time address the basic needs of the people who are an important cog in the wheel of our economy...

Senator Dianne Feinstein's Bill is an attempt to address that problem. Giving them a chance to become a Citizen will open doors for them, and their children, which are closed at present. For example did you know they contribute billions to Social Security but are not entitled to it?...

I am just looking for "Fairness" which has been the cornerstone of the American Way of Life, starting with "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL", and so on...
