We are in mediation negotiating from strength (again, due to the Markman result). The opposition is negotiating from a relatively weak position, with all of the above looming. The pressure must be intense. And the dollar amounts being thrown around must be huge.
I disagree that the dollar amounts must be huge. I'm afraid everyone is setting themselves up for disappointment if they believe "huge dollars" are necessary for making this litigation successful. The win is much more important in my mind. Looking at all other licensing companies, we have not seen huge dollars. This case may still not bring in a figure higher than 50 million from each defendant. And possibly somewhat less. Would that be a disappointment? Let's not forget how much ten to fifteen million is when the majority of it drops to our bottom line. Some of our future licensees might only be worth 3-5 million each. A win or settlement in TX. is way more important than "huge dollars" I think we are getting closer, but we may have given up a little too, to get where we are.
Can anyone answer my previous question?
Does anyone know if MM are allowed to "hold" more than 10% of any companies shares "without" reporting it to the SEC?
