I believe that a single post on Agoracom can influence the SP.

As you may recall, Ignited was the first to post the info on Pubpat's scurrilous challenge to our patent on February 2nd, 2007. The Pubpat commentary by Danny Boy included the memorable "cockroach" comparison. This was the first any of us had heard of it, and by recall (which isn't saying much), the news interupted a nice gain on the day, as mentioned in the following post entitled "Anyone seen this? Has this been posted":
