The other side of the coin...

FWIW, I corresponded with a friend of a friend who is one of the founders of a relatively successful microprocessor company (don’t ask the name as I won’t share it). He was not aware that I was a PTSC shareholder when I emailed him the question asking if he was familiar with Patriot Scientific, TPL, and the MMP Portfolio. His response is below. I found it interesting that yes he refers to companies like ours as “trolls”, but than he later states that “Patriot does have some real IP”. Good to hear they realize this! Just thought it was interesting to hear straight from the infringer’s mouth what they felt about us. Again, just a FWIW, other than that, no value. Hope all is well for everyone. Good luck to you, me, us, and all longs. P.S. I love Lego's! “As far as Patriot Scientific/TPL, they basically are a “patent troll” company. In other words, a these “trolls” are a collection of a few guys that own some patents, then go after companies who are using the patents (IP) to get (extort?) money. It’s typically not a royalty scheme but I believe more of a lump sum. There are many “scummy” companies that do this, but Patriot does have some “real IP” that companies have paid for (Intel, AMD, many Japanese companies). I believe TPL is the sole partner for licensing the IP. Not really sure what the business model is for growth but I’m not sure they are so concerned about growth in the long haul…just getting the money they feel they deserve for the IP they own. Anyway, that’s what little I know.”
