I don't know about anyone else here but I'm really against any kind of an acquisition using our authorized but not issued shares. I believe there is about 80-85M shares authorized and not issued which at today's prices would be around $36-$40M. If the board didn't empty the treasury we could be sitting on close to $60M with the ability of acquiring someone all cash...but that is water under the bridge now. I'd really like to see PTSC continue with the buyback and get the float to at least 300M by the end of next year. Shareholders have had to deal with enough dilution over the past 10 years and using the unissued shares plus the buyback ones (.63 average) makes little sense to me at this time or in the future....unless of course we are sitting at $5!
Just more evidence of Swartz's poor planning (via dividends) or just not caring for the companies success. If he indeed was interested in generating a new revenue stream the cash would still be in the bank. I applaud Turley for scrapping the dividend and hope that this is a sign that Swartz is finally becoming more receptive or beginning to move on. Hopefully Turley will recognize that maxing out the authorized shares will significantly set back the stock price.
