One minor improvement suggested;

Change

"If you take my rights away, that is the same as stealing."

to

"If you take my rights to my property away, that is the same as encouraging the outright stealing of my property by not only my fellow countrymen, but even more importantly, the stealing of American property by foreign entities".

This makes a broader point, and greatly improves a sentence that, IMO, as written, makes no sense (unless you're thinking that it is the legislators that will be doing the stealing).
