And that prior (two weeks earlier) statement is precisely why they put out the PR last Thursday. And I suspect it was also to specify their reasons for doing the buy-back at least up until that exact point in time, on that day before mediation results were known, so that IF there were a near term settlement, they will have covered their butts from accusations of insider trading.

This is completely obvious to me, so I think I KNOW it.
