I really hate to post this, since all the banter over off topic posts but I've come to the end of my rope. Sorry!!!! My apologies to the board.

Can anyone give me a hint as to what may be wrong with my mouse and pointer??? Sometimes when moving my mouse and positioning my pointer to click on, for instance, the 'Next message' button, my computer goes nuts. The pointer begins to go crazy. It is like the pointer has a mind of its own. 

It jumps all over the screen, clicking and opening up programs, i.e. task manager, utilities, games, etc...uncontrollably.

Any suggestions.....Help!!!
