You make my point for me, but with diferent bold-type:
"If it was the same old post that he has posted before" - how am I to know if it was or if it wasn't.
Easy answer - it must have been, as you say...
"It violates AGORA's rules. You have to step over the line before Agora deletes a post. Just follow the rules and your posts will not be deleted."
And this is the nub - someone (I know not whom) sits in judgment of both posts and the rules, and decides what is good enough for us to read and what is in violation of TOS.
Does this happen with everything that is posted ? Does a post need to be flagged as a violation before its content is reviewed. Is flagging posts as a violation simply an extension of the 'thumbs' ? Can we hope to have people we personally dislike banned by simply flagging everything they post, and hope that the 'judge' will eventually decide to declare something a violation?
According to the 'About us' blurb found at the at the top of the page:
No bickering, profanity, flaming, spam, etc. This has been the very downfall of every small-cap community that came before us.
IMO, bickering and flaming has already severly deteriorated the quality and content of what is posted here. Knowledgable people with insight and expertise have been 'bickered' into oblivion in recent weeks. Where is the equitable application of the rules here ? Are the remaining bickerers banned sin die? Does Agora condone some bickering, and not others ? quis custodiet ipsos custodes
This is a public message board where people publish their DD and opinions. It does not require (as you say) censorship, particularly if the application of such censorship is neither transparent or equitable. Traffic laws preserve the lives and well-being of the general population. To my knowledge, no-one has ever died in a posting accident.
Ok - rant really over this time ;)
