I'm not exactly sure what investors expect out of a SHM. I don't recall a time my company has ever "surprised" shareholders at a meeting. Like 99% of SHM that take place it will be a fairly mundane rehash of past details along with hints of the future. People should stop wishing upon a star when it comes to these non-events.
The only companies I know that use the SHM as a spring board is Apple or Wal-Mart. For the rest of corporate America it's just a mandatory meeting. May be some of you could ask Mr. Turley to jump out of a cake or something. Perhaps that would satisfy the need for a surprise! I expect it will be business as usual with discussions of past performance and some talk about future expectations. Fluff will not and should not be the order of the day. That would only give the naysayers more ammo. IMO.....
