There is something very odd about this though....along the lines that I am convinced that ARM designs also infrnge on the '148 and '336. 

Apparently ARM and/or the Js are not so convinced.  IF the Js even had a inkling that ARM designs might cause infringement on these other two patents, ARM would still be on the "indemnification hook" in this litigation.  Again, indemnification clauses never specify patents (as such would be an acknowledgment of infringement).  The seller is presumed "innocent" of wrongdoing, but the clause is included "just in case there's something out there, or someone out there that might engage".

This adds to the whole though process on this, for me at least.  More (interesting) complexity.  I think I'm on the verge of just turning into Alfred E. Newman till this all pans out!  My brain hurts!
