I have seen (well, heard about actually) 3 year plans where I work that bode well for people in one area of the world - but for people in other areas of the world, well, not so much...

Corporate may say that plans like those are "opportunities", an over used (and extremely vague) business buzzword designed to baffle the listener with BS, while leaving the optimism or pessimism to be individually interpreted by the listener.

Expect that much from any and all Political and Corporate entities, no matter how wide the smile they give, or sincere they sound.
