Here's that repost:
Dear AGORACOM Member,
As you know by now, the launch of our "Investor Controlled Discussion Forums" on October 5th has taken the small-cap world by storm. Quite frankly, even we have been surprised by the speed and shear number of small-cap investors that migrated to AGORACOM over the last 3 weeks. How big has the migration been to date?
- We have now launched approximately 400 HUBS at the request of investors, with approximately 120 of them now active.
- At our current run-rate, we are now serving 10,000,000 page views of information per month – clean pages of information that do not contain spam, profanity and stock bashing.
The migration has been so fast and furious that, despite being hosted at a world-class facility, many members are beginning to experience slow downs in site speed at busy points of the day.
The good news is that AGORACOM, as always, is responding quickly to the needs of its members. As such, I'm pleased to advise that we are adding significant server capacity to the site as early as this Friday and no later than Monday. The increased capacity will allow us to absorb growth by several magnitudes, so we do not anticipate any further site speed issues.
We want to thank you for making AGORACOM the Small-Cap Epicenter. We knew we had a winning model on hand but we needed you to prove it. More importantly, thank-you for your loyalty, patience and understanding. From the feedback we have been receiving on a daily basis, members are happily willing to go through a little growing pain to create this paradigm shifting community that is free of spam, profanity and bashing.
Stock discussion forums are never going to be the same.
Regards,
George, Paul and the AGORACOM Team.
