As a writer, did you ever meet any of the musicians on the show? My sister and brother-in-law were both professional musicians and Tommy Newsome was a personal friend of theirs. It gave me the advantage of having met him on a couple of occasions and when I was in LA, I was able to get tickets that put us in the front row. It was SWEET.

The only thing better was the time I was front and center at a Sinatra show. My sister was Frank's harpist for 13 years and one evening when Barbara didn't come to the show, I was given her ticket. Tommy LaSorda was on my right. It was a real kick.
