If the settlement is a piovital event, my guess is, they have to take care for both markets in US and Germany.
But how could they handle this with different timezones?
If they release the announcement before the US-opening, the german market has an advantage of about 20 minutes (according to the timing of the last press releases).
If they release it at 9.30am US time, people with sell/buy-orders, put in before the opening, could get screwed.
If they release it after 2pm US-time, german investors (without access to an US-broker) would be put at a disadvantage.
If they release the news after the US-close, the german market would start the ralley (great numbers assumed), might be a disadvantage to american investors.
Thus I see two possibilities:
1. They could announce it between 10am and 1pm US-time, because the german market ends at 2pm US-time.
2. There is a trading halt in BOTH markets at 9.30am US-time.
Of course this is all just pure speculation or a clear sign, that we need an end to this situation, before our brains get burned with our use- and senseless posts...lol
Good night to all!
