"So if I interpret that to mean that the case has been "shelved" that they may have arrived at a conclusion"
I don't know if it has been shelved, but you have two fields, "location", and "location date". The USPTO site has a "Help" module that defines the different terms, but does not define the "location date". They do have a definition for the "Location" field (see below).
"A location is the current site of the official file. When the term "Electronic" appears as the "location" of an application or patent, the official file is an electronic image file as described in the Official Gazette Notice 1271 OG 100, published June 17, 2003."
The "Location" field currently displays "RECORD ROOM 308-2733”.
So, it seems to me that the "oficial file" simply resides in the Record Room, maybe so the examiner can read it?
Good luck to you, me, us, and a ll longs.
