Stays related to Re-Exam

It seems to me that if you're going to request a stay based on the USPTO Re-Exam, it would be an indefinite stay pending a decision by USPTO, not a closed end stay.  There is no specific time frame that USPTO HAS to rule by, so why would the court entertain a stay that would be based on an uncontrollable/uncontained review process?
