I understand it's new and novel, therefore, PTSC will proceed with securing their patent.  The process my be novel but it doesn't mean that it's commercially viable.  Their still going to patent and protect their interest.  Who's to say that coupled with newer technology down the road that all of the sudden their original patent comes into play again.  I wasn't inferring the technology was invalid only that it wasn't practical at this time.  Theres a big difference.  You can patent the process and expand on it later.
