I got curious, so I googles the largest patent settlement and this came up. Luke L. Dauchot is the man. Not our attorney.

Medtronic v. Michelson (patent/commercial litigation)
United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee

Won breach of contract/patent infringement jury trial ($170 million compensatory damages; $400 million punitive damages); settled for 1.35 billion in April 2005 (largest patent settlement in history)

Then I looked up Roger Cook. He has had some very impressive settlements. Integraph vs. Intel for 450 Million.
