I assume that means 7.2 cents per unit sold by ARM partners. But to figure out the rate with respect to trying to compare it to annual revenues of the partnered company, we would need to know what the partner company sells the chip for that contains the ARM IP, don't we? if the chip sells for $1, and they collect 7.2 cents per unit sold, that's a great rate (7.2%), but if the chip sells for $20, then that's a rate of 0.36%, not so good in comparison.
PTSC sure could lend some clarity to this issue by reporting financial data in a similar fashion. I'm not going to hold my breath but I sure would like to see it spelled out that clearly.
