First, I can't believe I am on this board today. My wife would shoot me.
Second, I believe JT said at the SHM that he is aware of and reads this board (or words to that effect, corrections clarifications welcome). I can guarantee you that the high command on both sides of this fence (PTSC and TPL) is well aware of the wobbly share price, and that many SHs have more angst than today's 16-year-old disaffected "yoots" of America. None of that is in their best interests--or ours.
Third, all of this leads me to s-p-e-c-u-l-a-t-e (guess, postulate, hypothesize, extrapolate, or IMO) that a SH letter of some sort will arrive early in January (first full trading week?) or shortly thereafter with enough guidance to help some find comfort in the outcome of the Texas litigation.
Again, I could be wrong, but having been in business for a long time, I know you do not enter a "business resolution" in a case like this, on the verge of trial, with the sort of Markman, et. al. cards we had on our side of the table knowing it will seriously diminish your SP and potentially CRIPPLE your company.
Let's see if we get some sort of SH letter. I think we are owed something along those lines.
With a hat tip to Margaret Thatcher, "Don't go wobbly in the knees now, George."
(OT: Let's hope Gavrilo Princep's pistol shots in Sarajevo in 1914 did not light a fuse that burned through eight decades across Europe all the way to Pakistan. Say a prayer or light some incense or slip inside your crystal pyramid and ask for some level of manageable peace. I think we are going to need it.)
