Do any of the Accountnats on Board know whether there is any way to "hide" the full amount of the settlment, assuming it is large, by creating a 5 year installment program.
Let's say that it is 50mm per year, and that the total is 250mm. Asuume that PDS has a 200 million dollar recievable (from the J's), it will also have a 198 million dollar payable( to TPL & PTSC).
Net net the value of PDS goes up by only a small amount and teh distribution to TPL & PTSC is only about 25mm each.
This would be away to hide the size (although there might be 100 mistakes since I'm not an accountant) and also validate the statement by JT that PTSC (sic) now has 10's of millions of dollars of income.
The only problem for PTSC is that should they issue insider options knowing that the market price does not reflect full disclosure they woudl have a difficlut time getting away with issuing the options at or near market.
Yet issuing the options any other way (or paying large performance bonuses) would sort of let the cat slip out of the bag.
A real Pradox
