I agree with you about the questions that arise from the words business resolution. I have read about more than one case where a settlement was reached and the wording said settlement for an undisclosed amount.

I have wondered just what business resolution might mean...here goes:

1. We agree to pay you some money in 08

2. we agree to pay you more money when USPTO completes the re-exam and only if the patents remain valid.

or

We agree to a joint venture details still being worked out, so not yet a material event.

or,

Perhaps money from NEC since that PR was released after the PR about Matsushita, Toshiba and JVC and joint venture with the others.

It's all a guess and time will tell all.
