It would be a good thing to have things squared away with the PTO before we sue other big companies.
Now that the PTO have brought their issues to us, better to deal with them now then to put it off for a later date.
Wings created a nice image: USPTO agent/examiner, govt employee, under paid/over-worked, rather be at his child's soccer game. The examiner would rather we make our own case. His heart and soul isn't into it. Especially, as noted by milestone, the same examiner aproved the patent in the first place.
It is a lot easier than dealing with the extensive law team of the J's.
Big picture- It comes out stronger and helps us in future cases/licenses.
