Jan 07, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB: PTSC), an intellectual-property licensing company, announced on Friday (5 January) that Humax Corporation Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor of digital set top box, LCD television and satellite radio products, has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent (MMP) Portfolio license. The Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio contains intellectual property and is jointly owned by Patriot Scientific Corporation and the TPL Group. The MMP Portfolio includes seven US patents, as well as their European and Japanese counterparts. The MMP Portfolio reportedly protects fundamental technology used in microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital signal processors (DSPs), embedded processors and system-on-chip (SoC) devices. Financial details of the license purchase were not available.
