One of the original "Patriots".

He also said:

"yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly."

I hope that I don't offend anyone by quoting Thomas Paine. I don't mean to cheapen his words. In this famous piece, Thomas Paine was talking about FREEDOM. However, his words seem to be appropriate. I believe that we will eventually enjoy a very sweet victory.
