LOL I'm going to try and stop laughing long enough to make this post. LOL
You say:
"The company has been saying the same thing for the past 2 years. What has come of it? They could be looking at candidates for acquisition for the next 2 yrs as well. All BB companies say the same thing. "
I think you just explained the problem. "All BB companies" are flush with tons of cash, and are looking for acquisitions, thus making it very difficult to find a viable acquisition candidate, because none of them need money and all are competing with us toward acquiring other companies! Gosh, we were sure lucky to pick up Holocom - one of those "nothing's come of its".
And you say this:
"Lets see some action. And a little update on the progress so far isn't asking much."
Just what do you expect them to say? IMO, if they said they've narrowed their short list down to one or two (which I'm sure would make you very happy), it might indicate that they are close to doing a deal. And that candidate(s), upon reading that info, would automatically have an improved negotiating position, IMO. I'd bet that the best info you'll get is that the short list is narrowed to "less than ten". Would that make you happy? Maybe. And maybe that's all that some here are looking for - info that the effort is progressing.
Sorry about all the LOL, but PTSC is the ONLY BB company I know of that has any real, significant money, and that's actively and openly looking for acquisitions.
Personally, I'm confident that the search is progressing. And I hope like heck that they are being very careful in making a selection and in any negotiations with candidates. This decision/action is just a little bit IMPORTANT.
Ya think maybe the current silence may be giving us a clue? They can't talk about TX for obvious reasons. Just maybe they have nothing else to say right now because they are close on this front - and that may be our biggest clue. Silence, plus the hoarding of cash (assuming that the corp is not legally prohibited from buy-backs). I can think of no other logical explanation - unless you join the camp of those who think they're just sitting on their hands and twittling their thumbs (quite a trick!). Turley just doesn't strike me as a hand-sitting thumb-twittler.
And yesterday I addressed my opinion that a sell out of PDS, the MMP or PTSC is highly unlikely, primarily due to the position that would place TPL, which would have to be agreeable to any such move.
All JMHOs,
