I agree with your observations, Ron. I read the same provision, and I can't believe that with the lobby groups out there, even these yahoos in DC would pass retroactive legislation that jeapordizes potentially thousands of patents owned by some of the largest industries in the world. Venue is another issue entirely. I think we would have heard if this aspect of the bill was going to change.

Not sure about the appeal/re-exam issue (just don't know enough about that aspect of the law to comment with any certainty).
