Based on the letter to the shareholders, there were 34 licenses signed through the end of 2007:

"In 2007, TPL brought in 20 new licensees, bringing the total licenses to Patriot through our licensing joint venture to 34"

So based on my spreadsheet, I would say NO to JVC having brought in a separate or extra license since counting all the licenses signed through 2007 based on giving only one license to each of the J's, gives 34. (I include JVC as part of Matsushita) With Humax, Psion & Tokyo Electric, that would be 37 total to date.
