A friend of mine made this very point last year.  What's the profit if PTSC goes from .40 to 2 right now? 500%?  S & L's "death spiral" business model is based on nearly guranteeing thoat type of profit (or more in PTSC's case.)   His theory is that they can use the money to better effect elsewhere.
