It is possible JT got stuck on double secret probabtion after he mentioned...

“We now have income in the tens of millions of dollars per year to invest in new businesses and technology.”

in that interview of Dec 10th.. just a week before settlement I would guess that probably didn't fit well with the upcoming NDA... The deafening silence that has followed may be a result... extra caution.
