I agree with you almost completely, provided that the Jockey should not view getting to the finish line and getting there first as an optional "reward" to us, but as the expected mission and his/her job. How he runs the race, inside path (collect license fees), lay back and then finish strong (preserve cash to complete good M&A) or sprint start to finish (issue dividends along the way) is his role in the operation, but each and every one of those strategies are the means to the end (finishing and finishing first), which should not be accepted or viewed as optional.
