Looks like the author took the time to write something original rather than to cut and paste company PRs

Having the patent to a product that, in effect, runs the world’s electronics is the true essence of being in the driver’s seat. Capitalizing on that patent is another thing altogether. When everyone knows how the patent works and are all too ready to copy and use it without paying for it, protecting the patent (and capitalizing on it) becomes the game at hand. A company that can do so finds profit. A company that can’t runs out of time, and optimum profit, much more quickly.
